Inspiration: Anna Karenina

I've been reading Tolstoy's Anna Karenina in preparation for the movie and absolutely fallen in love with Anna's fashion sense. Not only is she simple as chic, dressing to let her natural beauty shine, but she's also incredibly thrifty. Her fashion reflects her status as a socialite; always current with the latest trends and fashions. However, rather than always buying new dresses, she has a seamstress remake everything so that her dresses never go to waste, or out of style. It's something we could all learn to do, recycling our wardrobe and trying out a few DIYs to make something old new.

From the stills and trailer, the movie seems to do the fashion justice. Each piece is incredibly detailed, and the jewelry by Chanel is gorgeous. I've also fallen in love with fur thanks to this movie.
